Passive houses – are they only build for an engineers eyes? They can most certainly benefit from simplified design, but it is not necessary for them to be simple/ugly, and there are more and more products showing up on the market to deal with issues associated with air tightness and insulation consistency to tackle fancy architectural details. Passivhaus is becoming ever so more popular, and architects are jumping on board.
